Smriti Van

Smriti Van is envisaged as nature's memorial to the victims of 2001 Gujarat Earthquake. The landmark site of Bhujio Dungar will be transformed into a natural ecosystem park with its own rainwater based irrigation system. One tree will be planted for each victim, and irrigated by check dams that store rain water. The site will also host a museum, conference facilities and nature trails. One part of the site will be left isolated for natural regeneration.
