The landscape of LTM & LSM Factory, Surat is an attempt at land-art. The client brief was to create a forest as well as demonstrate the cutting edge technologies being developed at the factory cum research unit. The landscape takes inspiration from the client's imaging process of taking a raw material and making an aesthetic art piece from it. The landscape is a series of mounds rising in height as one views them from the entrance. The mounds are cladded with natural stone at various locations and give a feeling of arising from the ground with the stone. The landscape becomes a journey with integrated seating wherein many a small get-togethers, brainstorming sessions and solitary thinking can be realized.
